Welcome to the year 2009. In numerological terms it’s an 11 year ( 2+9=11). Eleven is a master number (along with 22 & 33) which means it doesn’t get converted to a single digit (ie: 1+1=2).

So, here we are in an 11 year. Here’s my thoughts on what I feel this year will bring to us.

I feel this year will be filled with gentle (and not so gentle) stirrings.

Stirrings deep within our soul to remember why we are here. To remember why we have come. To remember who we are!

Stirrings that will encourage us to be more than we have ever been before, as a person, as a society, as a race, as a planet.

Stirrings that will help us discover the truth behind the illusions we have held in place for so long. Truth behind the lies and deceit we have allowed to exist. Truth. Our Truth.

I feel 2009 will be a very creative, inventive year.

The number 11 is a highly creative number. It is the number of visionaries and leaders. It is the number of balance and harmony.

I feel we will see many new solutions to old problems. We will see communities come together, stand together, help each other beyond what we may have seen before. We will witness kindness and love on a global scale as the turbulent energies bring people closer together and closer to the truth within their soul.

I feel 2009 is a teaching year. Not only will it teach us many things, both positive and negative, it will also bring a lot of new teachers to the fore. Teachers that will show us new ways through illness and dis-ease. Teachers that will show us new ways to live an abundant, joyful life. Teachers that will show us how to love deeply for self and others. These teachers will open their wisdom to others in these times of ’seemingly’ uncertainty.

I feel 2009 will be a year of change. Real change all over the world. I feel that many of the out-dated energies of lack, limitation, power-over, fear, struggle, victim mentality and poverty will begin to really shift away from many people and be replaced with hope and joy and love.

This year is a threshold year.

It gives us an opportunity as a collective to really wake up and go beyond our ego-self. That part of us that has kept us small and controlled. That part of us that feeds us all sorts of information to keep us fearful and believing in lack.

I feel we are being given an opportunity to go beyond all of this if we choose to and embrace all of who we are. Not just what we drive, where we live, what job we have, how much we earn…No, none of this is important in the scheme of life. Truly, it isn’t. Sure…it is wonderful to be abundant and experience all the splendor possible…but…not when it compromises your soul or the soul of the community and planet we live upon. Not when it hurts another.

It is time to wake up. It is time to believe in your self. It is time to see through the illusions and demand more from ourselves and our corporations. It is time to use money to really help the planet and those in need. It is time to live in harmony with the planet and all who live upon HER.

We are being given a tremendous gift to use creativity to transform and transcend our lives. The alternative is to stay asleep and continue to do what we have always done – military war as a means for peace, chemical war as a means to fight dis-ease, competitive war as a means to be better than and keep others small.

Or…we can simply choose to wake up and decide to open our heart and let love be our guide.

Let our heart show us the way. Let our heart lead us into a better tomorrow. A world filled with love for one another and peace upon our planet. A world filled with abundance for everyone and not just a selected few. A world filled with joy and happiness.

Yes, let our hearts guide us to this world, to this place that first exists within each and every one of us. That place that we hold deep within us that knows the truth of who we are.

There are no illusions within.

Our heart has no need to be better than, more than, bigger, faster, stronger, more happy, more wealthy, more….anything…it knows it already has all of what it needs…within itself.

Our heart is love and that is all the world needs. If we can build a world from love – imagine, just imagine what type of world that would be? Imagine the decisions of our top leaders around the world coming from a love-base and not a fear-base. Imagine the ripple effects of such decisions.

But first….we need to decide whether we are going to continue the ‘madness’ of our current existence or create an amazing existence filled with the BEST of who we are. It starts with each of us. One person at a time. The ripple has begun. Let it be a truly inspiring year.
